Stirling Castle & the Trossachs
Visiting Stirling Castle is a glimpse into Scotland’s tumultuous history of monarchs and battles, including the Wars of Independence. The iconic fortress looks out over the city of Stirling commanding its own importance with sensational aerial views. Loch Lomond has been romanticised for generations in songs and poetry. It’s the largest freshwater lake in Great Britain and utterly captivating, regardless of the season. 1st Stop: The Kelpies
Our first stop today will be, The Kelpies. At 30 meter high these horse head sculptures by the Scottish artist Andy Scott depict the mythical water beast known as The Kelpie.

2nd Stop: Stirling Castle
Continuing on to Stirling, visit the historic, Stirling Castle, home of the Scottish Monarchs. It is built upon a volcanic sill and offers spectacular views in all directions including,The Wallace Monument, built in memory of the Scottish hero, Sir William Wallace. The monument marks the site where William Wallace commanded and defeated the English army in 1297.

3rd Stop: Trossachs National Park
From Stirling we travel into the Trossachs National Park, known as the, ‘Highlands in minature’ and drive close to the Highland boundary fault line which separates the Highlands from the Lowlands. We take the scenic route around Loch Venachar, Loch Achray and over the spectacular Dukes Pass. You get to experience a taste of the Highlands without the lengthy drive involved in a typical highland day tour.
3rd Stop: Trossachs National Park
